AI in organisation and administration
The KILOF Event 2025 was dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in administrative processes and highlighted the associated opportunities and challenges. The event was primarily aimed at members of the University of Bern, but other interested parties were also welcome to attend.
This event offered a platform for exchange and discussion on the legal, practical and organisational aspects of AI integration in administration and the public sector. Experts from science and practice provided insights into current projects and developments and opened up new perspectives on the possibilities of digitalisation for participants.
The conference took place on Friday, 7 March 2025, at the University of Bern. Various application examples and research projects were presented at the event, highlighting both challenges and showcases. The aim was to promote mutual understanding of the use of AI in administrative processes and to provide participants with an overview of the application process for digitalisation projects at the University of Bern.
Programme highlights:
- Keynotes on AI needs of the cantonal administration from Ka Schuppisser (State Chancellery of the Canton of Berne) and legal and practical aspects of AI in administration from Daniel Kettiger (Competence Centre for Public Management, UniBE).
- Practical examples and short showcases from administrative areas that illustrate the use of AI.
