AI in organisation and administration
The KILOF Event 2025 is dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in administrative processes and highlights the associated opportunities and challenges. The event is primarily aimed at members of the University of Bern, but other interested parties are also welcome to attend.
This event offers a platform for exchange and discussion on the legal, practical and organisational aspects of AI integration in administration and the public sector. Experts from science and practice will provide insights into current projects and developments and open up new perspectives on the possibilities of digitalisation for participants.
The conference will take place on Friday, 7 March 2025, at the University of Bern. Various application examples and research projects will be presented at the event, highlighting both challenges and showcases. The aim is to promote mutual understanding of the use of AI in administrative processes and to provide participants with an overview of the application process for digitalisation projects at the University of Bern.

- Keynotes on legal and practical aspects of AI in administration, including from Daniel Kettiger (NRP 77 ‘Digital Transformation’, Competence Centre for Public Management, UniBE) and another speaker (still open).
- Practical examples and short showcases from administrative areas that illustrate the use of AI.
- Workshops for in-depth discussion of the conference topics.
- Closing panel with the speakers and discussion on future developments in the field of AI integration in administration.
